Change in Time and Date of Service WALLACE GUBERMAN Wallace Guberman, 82, longtime Winnipeg businessman and founder of the Pancake Houses, died peacefully after a lengthy illness at his home in Los Angeles on August 9, 2004. He is survived by his children, Dr. Alan Guberman (Denyse) of Ottawa, Joanne Lecker of Toronto, and Aviva Guberman of Los Angeles. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Adam, Daniel, and Liana; and his first wife Eleanor, who held a special place in his heart. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Bessie and Max Guberman; his sister Shirley Hechter; and brother Monty Guberman. Sincere thanks to Isabelle, Anne and Vickie, for their loyalty, kind attention and care. The graveside funeral will be held at the Shaarey Zedek Memorial Park, on Thursday, August 12 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
